The fans of the two game; 'Five Nights at Freddy's' and 'Undertale' were reportedly outraged when the idea of these two games crossing over surfaced on YouTube.

According to several reports, LSFDevelopment took it on Reddit, and provided a response to the so called controversy. Originally, LSFDevelopment uploaded the 'Five Nights at Freddy's' and 'Undertale' trailer called 'FNAFTALE' expecting to get feedbacks from fans on the things that can be improved.
The responds the uploader was expecting constructive criticisms, but that did not happened. In a post done in Reddit, the video garnered a lot of dislikes, unfriendly criticism and it even got to a point that there were suggestions of suicide and death threats.

Fans of 'Undertale' were furious and gave a tremendous backlash from it, so the game's crossover hopes with 'Five Nights at Freddy's' was crushed. Despite the challenge, the developer is still determined to pursue the plan. 'I still might go through with this, even if it's undercover,'
'FNAFTALE' was supposed to blend the role playing game element of 'Undertale' with the animatronics in 'Five Nights at Freddy's' universe, which was shown in the trailer. The link of the clip has already been removed, as per the reported by Design & Trend.
The fan-based community has already expressed opposition towards the concept, but there were some who thought the crossover idea of 'Undertale' and 'Five Nights at Freddy's' was brilliant. In a report done by Reality Today, Sweet Shark is one of those who welcomed the idea with arms wide open.
In other news, FNAF World is going to be the latest installment in the Five Night at Freddy's series. Instead of the old tradition horror game were going to get an rpg like game, with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Golden Freddy, Mangle, Balloon Boy, The Toy version and many more going to be the playable characters.
Like typical rpgs it looks like some characters have unique abilities of their own to aid them in battle against the cute dessert like beings that our animatronics will face in their journey.
